Gummies can be Great for your Gut!

Forget about store bought gummies, which are loaded with sugar, artificial colors and flavors, and promote inflammation. My homemade gummies, can help heal your gut, increase digestion, decrease inflammation, have anti-aging properties, promote weight loss, and keep your skin, hair, nails and teeth strong and beautiful. The only two caveats are: (1) the berries used must be organic; and (2) only good quality Gelatin should be used - I prefer Great Lakes grass fed unflavored gelatin.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups frozen organic berries (I used mixed berries here but any berry or combination of berries works well)
3/4 cup organic lemon juice
3 tsp. organic honey
1/4 cup unflavored grass-fed Great Lakes gelatin
Directions:
1. Warm berries in a microwave-safe dish until they are plump (since microwave times vary, you may want to do this in increments of 30-60 seconds, stirring occasionally) or in a small saucepan on your stove top, roughly ten minutes. Be sure to stir them often so the liquid doesn't stick to the pan. Let cool several minutes.
2. In a blender add the cooled berries and their liquid, lemon juice, honey and gelatin and blend until smooth.
3. Pour into gummy or candy molds (silicone ones work well) or into any size/shape baking pan and refrigerate covered for 1 1/2 hours or until they are set.
4. Remove the gummies from the molds or if in a baking dish, cut into shapes using a knife or cookie cutters. Here, I cut mine into simple squares. Gummies will last about a week refrigerated in an airtight container.
